This is the journal of a slasher (and yaoist) and herein contains my passions for slash (and yaoi) and all things slash (and yaoi), although you'll find the occassional mainstream stuff because not everything needs to be slashed to be enjoyed. I've known slash and yaoi since year 2000 (the year people thought the world will end because computers won't be able to handle the extra digit in it's internal clock). I've read softcore, hardcore, various things available out there and settled down on softcore because that's where I'm most comfortable being, so please don't be crude.

There was a convention that is now defunct, to list the top name before the forward slash ("/") and the bottom afterwards, because it no longer matters. In some fandom, I have a preference in who's on top (eg. Harry Potter) or on who's instigating the act, in such cases the couple's names are italized. This preference usually involves one of the character being an authority figure.
